This is a seven segment fiber optic display with a pin header back, tested and working. This is a very hard to find display part that uses optical fibers lit by small incandescent bulbs to display numbers and characters. The display is held together with screws and can be easily opened to install new bulbs or replace them with LEDs. A nice thing about this type of display is that the bulbs can be replaced with LEDs, allowing numbers of nearly any color to be displayed. The back connection is a 10 pin header with the same pitch as an IDE hard drive connector, which make it easy to hook up… multiple digits can be plugged into an IDE ribbon cable side by side.
